Since 2019, Ram Trucks has offered the “Built to Serve” (BTS) limited-edition lineup to honor military personnel. The brand announced a first responder inspired BTS phase in February 2022, revealing three different models, one of them being the new BTS EMS Edition.

“After honoring each branch of the U.S. Armed Forces with our initial Built to Serve models, we felt it would be equally important to also extend our gratitude to all first responders who serve or have served our communities,” said Ram brand CEO, Mike Koval Jr. “Whether a first responder or civilian, Ram truck owners are very familiar with this adage as it’s something we strive to build into every truck and van we produce.”

The EMS Edition is the second installment in the BTS First Responder Phase lineup. This model first honors EMS providers with its design, offering Hydro Blue and Bright White exterior paint color options, and black interior with blue accented stitching in either performance cloth or premium vinyl seating options.

The front seats have Built to Serve-embroidered VELCRO® patches, and there’s an option for buyers to customize their own patches, adding their own names, slogans, or flags for further detail. This model reps black badging and bumpers, plus a black “Built to Serve” American flag decal on the truck’s rear quarter. All BTS First Responder Edition trucks include standard 20-inch gray painted cast aluminum wheels.

Tackle rough terrain thanks to the standard Off-Road Group package which has over 13 different features, including Hill Descent Control, a fuel tank skid plate, tow hooks, front extra-heavy-duty shock absorbers, and much more.

Ram Built to Serve EMS Edition packages are available on Big Horn and Lone Star Crew Cab models and for the 3.6-liter Pentastar V-6, 5.7-liter eTorque, and non-eTorque V8 powertrains.

About the Ram BTS Lineup

Ram’s “Built to Serve” (BTS) series is made to honor U.S. Military and First Responders. It first debuted for the 2020 model year, paying tribute to the five service branches of the United States Armed Forces. Each military branch-themed truck edition was released every three months in the following order:

  • U.S. Army – Gator Green or Diamond Black
  • The Navy – Ceramic Gray or Patriot Blue
  • The Air Force – Anvil or Billet Silver
  • The Marines – Tank or Flame Red
  • The Coast Guards – Spitfire or Bright White

The current First Responder Phase honors firefighters, EMS professionals, and police with the following lineup:

  • Firefighters – Redline and Diamond Black
  • EMS Professionals – Hydro Blue and Bright White
  • Police – TBA

Ram is bringing further attention to its volunteer initiative called Ram Nation through the BTS lineup. Ram Nation has been organizing grassroots volunteer events since 2015 and is using “Built to Serve” to further recognize those who serve our nation and our communities.
