Stellantis has launched Free2Move Charge—a new initiative that is being designed to revolutionize how consumers and businesses manage their EV charging needs. The 360-degree ecosystem aims to remove barriers to battery electric vehicle ownership, by simplifying the charging process no matter your location or specific business need. This new initiative will be available to Fleet customers Summer 2024.
“As the pace of mainstream EV adoption accelerates, our customers need us to be more than just a mobility provider,” said Ricardo Stamatti, Stellantis Senior Vice President, Charging & Energy Business Unit. “We are taking the lead in establishing a dedicated business unit that will support our bold electrification strategy and act as a natural extension of our iconic brands. Free2move Charge is the first product rolling out, exemplifying our purpose of delivering performance, value, sustainability, and electrified mobility freedom for all.”
Personalized Charging for Your Fleet
Every business is different. That’s why Free2Move Charge includes the e-ABC Promise—easy to Always Be Charged. It’s powered by smart technology that enables fleet managers to better understand user needs and optimize overall energy management, which may help enhance efficiency, reliability, and access, and help to reduce the total cost of ownership and maximize environmental benefits.
The Free2Move Charge e-Genius team will work closely with customers to create a personalized package that is adaptable to suit diverse work routes, schedules, and environments.
Charge at the Office, On-the Go, or at Home.
Getting the job done involves more than just the office. When it comes to fleets, the workplace travels with you and your teams. That’s why Free2Move Charge was built on three pillars— Free2Move Charge Business, Free2Move Charge GO and Free2Move Charge Home.
- Free2Move Charge Business covers all business-relevant charging and energy services—running cost estimations, charging infrastructure info and public charging access. It also offers charging hardware, installation, support and maintenance.
- Free2Move Charge GO will offer the ability to connect to public charging stations through an extensive partner network nationwide. To help consumers consolidate their EV charging needs into one place, the Free2Move Charge App (coming Winter 2023) will offer access, payment, and customer service. Over time, the Free2Move Charge GO will include more advanced features like Plug and Charge, reservations, prepaid packages and more.
- Free2Move Charge Home offers products and services for a home residence. This includes hardware, such as wall boxes and AC charging cables, installation, and financing. Planned future advancements include robot charging and touch-free wireless solutions.
Interconnectivity is at the forefront of Free2Move Charge—it will use information from the Stellantis Energy Cloud, vehicle-branded mobile apps and the STLA SmartCockpit platform launching in 2024 for a seamless customer experience.
