An Overview of the 2025 Hurricane Engine Lineup

Stellantis Fleet & Business Solutions is excited to showcase the GME-T6 Hurricane engine, a powerful engine designed to help fuel your daily operations with more horsepower than ever before.

Available on the 2025 Wagoneer Special Service Vehicle (SSV), the 2025 Ram 1500 Special Service Vehicle (SSV), and the 2025 Ram 1500, the Hurricane engine comes in two dynamic variants:

  • The High Output (H.O.), available on the 2025 Wagoneer, 2025 Ram 1500, and 1500 SSV
  • The Standard Output (S.O.), available on the 2025 Wagoneer SSV, and 2025 Ram 1500

The H.O. Hurricane Engine

This H.O. variant is equipped with advanced features such as forged aluminum pistons with an anodized top ring, a diamond-like coating on the pins and a compression ratio of 9.5:1, requiring premium fuel to harness its full potential. This engine delivers over 500 horsepower and 475 lb.-ft. of torque for Ram/500 lb. -ft of torque for Wagoneer, achieving a redline of 6,100 rpm with up to 26 PSI of max boost. On certain 2025 Ram 1500 trims, the numbers raise to 540 horsepower and 521 lb.-ft. of torque. Among these trims include the Limited, Limited Longhorn, RHO and Tungsten.

The S.O. Hurricane Engine

The S.O. engine version offers more than 400 horsepower and 469 lb.-ft. of torque for Ram/468 lb.-ft. of torque for Wagoneer, with a boost capacity of 22 PSI. It includes diecast aluminum pistons with cast iron top rings and a higher compression ratio of 10.4:1, helping provide durability and efficiency.

Both versions are crafted at the Saltillo Engine Plant, utilizing Plasma Transfer Wire Arc (PTWA) technology on the cylinder walls for a durable finish which helps to enhance the engine’s longevity and performance.
